Academic CouncilThe Academic Council of Memorial University Libraries, commonly known as Librarians’ Council, exists in order to “make recommendations to the University Senate on academic matters, and to make recommendations to the University Librarian on any matters relating to the policies, operations and development of the Memorial University of Newfoundland Libraries” (Constitution, October 6th 2000). Members of Librarians’ Council include all librarians of the Memorial University Library System, as well as other interested stakeholders: delegates from other Academic Councils at Memorial; representatives of student unions; and other members invited by Council. Librarians’ Council meets 10 times annually, once each month from September to June. These pages have been created to archive and enhance access to documentation associated with the Council and its meetings.
