Resources
There are many sites on the internet on how to
prepare a resume and cover letter and to
conduct yourself during an interview. Many
sites also list typical interview questions
which can help you organize your thoughts.
Check out the website for MUN's Centre for
Career Development. It's designed to assist
students but has useful information for anyone
thinking about a new job.
Also try the Human Resources Development
Canada site at http://www.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca
and search for "Preparing for your job
interview".
There are also many books in the library
collection which will help you prepare for a
job interview. Check out the following
subject headings:

If you are uncomfortable speaking in front of
other people you might want to investigate
courses designed to help you overcome these
difficulties. CUPE occasionally offers courses
(e.g. Public Speaking). The Division of
Lifelong Learning at MUN also offers useful
courses (e.g. Self-Esteem). Many people have
found what they have learned at Toastmasters
useful in the workplace and in life outside of
work.
