Herbaceous plants or shrubs with perfect and symmetrical flowers. The Fuchsia belongs to this family.

Epilobium Angustifolium.---Willow Herb. Found in newly cleared land. Tall herb with clasping undivided leaves and rose-colored flowers in racem. Sepals, 4. Petals, 4; twisted while in bud.
