Slender, less than one foot. One leaf near base. Two to six flowers, rose-colored. Lip white, spotted with purple.---Swamps, wet woods, N. Amer., W. Nfld.

Habenaria straminea Fernald. H. albida var. straminea (Fernald) F. Morris?
Six to eight inches. A few leaves. Dense spike many sweet-scented straw-coloured flowers; larger than albida.---Greenland, Iceland, Limestone barrens, W. Nfld. Fernald: “The Greenland and Newfoundland representative of European H. albida.”

Habenaria hyperborea (L.) R. Br.; Limnorchis Rydb. Stout stem. Many-pointed leaves, a few inches to one foot long. Narrow spike small greenish flowers. Very variable plant.---Bogs, marshes, Iceland, Alaska, N. Amer., W. Nfld.

Habenaria dilatata (Pursh.) Hook.
Resembles hyperborean. Many sweet-smelling white flowers. Leafy stem one to two feet. Narrow leaves three to twelve inches.---Bogs, wet woods, N. Amer., Nfld.---July
Habenaria viridis var. bracteata.---W. Nfld.
